Dude $1,600 to install stage 2 is rediculous. Yes they have to remove the supercharger not disassemble it.

Avg. $70.00/hr labor
This job is a 3 hour or so job.
3X70=$210.00

Mine was held over-night too.

Go to a different dealership for the install bro.

Tell them that is bullshit. Go pick up your car immediately, and go to a different dealership. I installed Stage 2 in my car, and I didn't have to take the supercharger apart. Tell them if they would follow the directions, they would know that they wouldn't have to do that! GO NOW!

They are stupid, take it to another stealership. They do NOT need to disassemble the supercharger, only remove it from the car.

Oh, and it takes a whopping ten minutes to take the blower off, anothert ten to change the pulley, and ten more to put it back on if you were slow and stopped for a beer!

Taking a supercharger off, putting back on, swaping injectors and put new belt on. 3 hours MAX dont pay more than 4. Taking the SC off is very easy, their pulling your leg dude.

The kit comes with some fairly detailed instructions...that is some crazy stuff man. Take it somewhere else. Preferably a dealership that has already done a stage 2 install.

2.5-3.5 is all it should take. Get your car back. Any service bay that tries to disassemble your S/C to put a hub on doesn't need to turn on a wrench on your car, maybe your bicycle, but not your car.

HA I thought my dealership was bad. They kept my car for a week. They had the same problem. Pulley wouldn't come off. But they not only charged me only 3 hours labor, they gave me the oil change for free for my troubles, and a car to drive.

I told them about ZZP and the puller there. They were happy for the help( I was really surprised at this), they ordered the rental pulley puller from ZZP and paid for that themselves.

Tell your dealer how lame they are. They want to cahrge YOU extra for THEIR incompetence. I love it.

Just for reference. Have them call Emmert Motors in St Helens,OR. A tiny podunk dealer that understands customer service.

Wow another Stage 2 install nightmare.

I am so glad my dealership doesn't care that I installed it myself. Not to mention it only took me about 45 minutes and another 20 to take it in for the re-flash.

Had the dealership across from where I work tell me 15 to 20 hours for a stage 2 install. This was NUCAR Chevrolet in Newcastle,Delaware. These guys are SUPPOSED to be a performance shop. When I told the guy to his face in front of his coworkers he was either a moron or a thieving ********** he was not happy.Came back 2 weeks later and showed them the receipt from another dealer for 2.5 hours to rub their noses in it.And I do have a 7k rev limiter from a late August 06 install.

Wow, did you talk with the service department before allowing them to do the work? It would be a good idea before you do to avoid situations like this. There have been tons of horror stories on the Stg 2 install and dealerships not knowing how to do it. I hope you got your car out of there before they got their stupid hands all over it.
