need a little header help...

ok so i was origanally thinking with more boost the more open exhaust i will need... which is try to some extent.

what i am running is a pretty open 2.5" exhaust, no cat... only an after market rez to get rid of rasp. but i have a stock header still.

i have a CAI and about 18-19 PSI of boost and 60# injectors...

i was looking at the weapon R long tube header 4-2-1 design...

what do you guys think.. its forsale at C-A

I prefer the midlength combo. Have one on my car and it is one of the best mods that I have done.

The weaponR piece has nice big primaries and decent design. Its got no cat and would be a huge bitch(and ineffective) to put one in, but that doesnt seem to be an issue for you since youre already catfree.
Its downfall are the price, the fact that Ive heard horribly conflicting stories on install difficulty, and while it is a 421 design, it uses odd 1/4 2/3 pairings.
The ZZP in stainless would be $100 cheaper, thats a decent amount, plus you get made in America product as opposed to "made where?"

If you want to save some money and stay with your 2.5 theme. Then look into the ZZP shorty header or the new Cobalt Addiction shorty header. I think they both technically have a 2.8 collector, which would work well with your 2.5

The weapon r needs welding (pre catback flange) whereas most of the others are true bolt on. Meaning if you can't weld it's going to cost like 30-40 bucks or more if you want them to install it too. After it get's welded it becomes bolt on. I think it's weld in the "2" part.

Ryan this guy brings up some good points. I don't know if you have to go through emissions or not but if you do you must have a cat and if you can't really install a cat then that means you will fail emissions. Sometimes the most expensive item isn't always the best item.

The people at the testing facilities will still know if they do a test on your car. I think they hook up a tube to your exhaust and that is were they get you. Even though you tricked your car into thinking that you still have a cat they will still find out.

Thats IF your testing facilities still do an exhaust analysis. Many places simply do an ODBII scan check.
