Stock plugs/heat range gapped at 0.035".

How many miles do you have on your car/plugs? What do your plugs actually look like (condition etc.)?

What plugs are you currently running?

Copper, Iridium, or Platnium??

What do you have them gapped at?

That 0.040" gap is to large. My car came stock with iridiums from the factory gapped at 0.035". Try to tighten up the gap before you go waste money on new plugs. It may help the missfire issue. Factory plugs are good for at least 100,000 miles.

I had to recently tighten my gap up to 0.032", but I'm more than GM Stage 2.

Not if the plugs are in good shape. If they look worn out then by all means replace them. You can learn a lot about your engine from the condition of your plugs. Pull the plugs, if they are in good shape (they should have a light grey to tanish look to them with no visible wear) then try tightning up the gap. If you still have the same issues after regapping the plugs replace them.

I have 32000 miles on my stock plugs, and they looked great when I pulled them last week.
