The 2nd O2 sensor is only there to let the computer know the cat is working properly so that it throws up a red flags when the car is tested for emissions if it's not working correctly...

Yea that 2nd O2 sensor has nothing to do with how your car runs. It's only there for emissions testing purposes...

On my GT I used MIL eliminators
$60 ..haven't looked into whether or not they are made for the Cobalt.

Why not weld in a little piece of pipe the make the stock DP longer and get the cat away from what its hitting ? It will sound better and no lights will annoy you.

yea i have had that idea too but if i take the cat out that is less restriction and i could get around $100 bucks by junking the converter they are worth a lot
