new car, where is this hose
looks like a by pass boost mod
that part right there is probably not functioning like it should
so they pulled the hose and stuffed the end of the hose
i had to do that when i was getting tuned for 2.8 & 60s
the car would have a slip like feeling at 6k to redline zone
did the mod and full power to redline. i swapped the part later and full power

Okay, I am just learning about the modifications on these cars, from what I read though, you pull the back hose off and stuff that one (the same one I ran the seafoam in last week). That one is still connected, what about the bare one, I can't seem to find a loose hose, where does the other end plug in?
the hose should go to the upper nipple, the lower nipple is the vent to atmosphere so the solenoid can do its job. The lower nipple should have a little sponge block on it held by those steel clips. The way you have it is not correct; change the hose to the upper nipple and carry on.
