Exclamation The new procharger thread!

I thought we should start a new thread so people dont have to read though 55 pages to see the teaser video.

So, A quick recap of the procharger system talk. The procharger head unit is the C1 it uses the stock intercooler system. The test car is a 2006 cobalt ss supercharged with 60 lbs injectors and 1 step colder plugs. So, the car is still using the stock exhaust system. Its very restrictive. If there was an exhaust system on this it would make major power gains!

So have fun with the video. I will make more videos after I tune the car next week. Then all make more videos of track test and street tests(IE corvette race, sti race).

Not bad. I was expecting a little more, but this is untuned so idk.

What size is the pulley on this system?

I noticed that. Still at 21 psi good gains could be achieved. Let's hope after tuning and exhaust mods it pulls harder and faster.

Is a centrifugal type supercharger. It looks like a turbo but has a pulley attached so it takes power from the crankshaft

Hey Chevytech
Would you say an air-to-air Intercooler will produce better results if installed in combination with the stock ss/sc intercooler? Other supporting mods necessary to install with the procharger kit? Are you on the stock clutch? Have you installed motor mounts or transmission mounts? Experiencing wheel hop?

So if I understand this correctly.... the procharger would replace the supercharger in my ss/sc.... would this be correct?

Will it spool faster if the crankshaft pulley is changed?

I wonder how much tq our engine is going to drop......usually engines will lose lots of tq when going to a centrifigual supercharger.....might be approaching honda territory....but might be better for launching off the line

But wow sounds awsome...Good work man

on another note CHEVY THAT THING SOUNDS BADASS

i really cant wait for this thing to be tuned. with regards to it building boost slowly it may be because its not yet tuned. I want to hear this thing at idle and maybe without the music
