if you went to a lager crank pulley but then you are over spinning the blower at that point...

remember spool speed is important to a Turbo but since you have a setup rate (gear of the blower) that is higher this allows you to have time for traction and then as it boosts up it pulls harder through the rpm range ...as you can see from the example...(remember you start to flow more CFM as the RPM range climbs).

As far as gains with an fmic maybe a little but the stock intercooler works very well! Its restrictive but works good. The bast thing to do is to run an fmic and a good intake manifold like GM`s. The only mode need is the injectors and the plugs. That is what the car has now. And I do have a set of Bwoody solid mounts in the car. I will highly recommend at least a very good side mount for the procharger. I dont have any wheel hop yet. But I can really lay into her untill she gets tuned! Yes, I have the stock clutch. It will hold it but not during shifts.

Thanks, It does feel different. Its like having a turbo. The difference is that if I start my pull at say 4500 the boost is there very quickly just about like the m62. I started the pull at very low engine speeds. If i did like I shifted it will have boost much faster! also if you rev it at the line it will leave the line with boost.

I havent had a chance to launch it yet. But I will after the tune!

Actually the pulley should be the same diameter as the stock but it weights less. Like the one from JPB.

Red face uhm, ok

Great work CHEVY but,...
I don't know about anyone else but I didn't see anything in the video that my car won't do now. Including the ~20psi.
I'll have to give you the fact that you say it's not tuned yet, but neither is mine.
All you guys are talking about what you saw and heard. News flash, it was dark, and there was a music soundtrack. I'm with some of the others on here, give us a clean video, in the daylight. Don't detract from what's really happening by trying to make it some major production. Just take a good video and post it.

dude.. your car can hit 20 psi .. but i'm sure his car will blow the doors off yours.. it's not PSI man as he said in the old thread his car pushing 12 psi stayed right next to a tune 2.8 pulley car with bolt ons ...

on your stock blower? whats that a 2.6" pulley? i hope you at least put the right injectors in there...
your cobalt will die soon

News flash, 20psi from a maxed out M62, and a procharger within its range are 2 totally different things.

i would also like to see a day video, dyno, or track run.

some people dont understand the concept of CFM. they think psi is all that matters, when in reality it dosent matter all that much. its about what power adder is creating that psi, and ultimately how many Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) of air you can force feed the car.

yea i was going to get into that but i'm at work and shouldn't be typing lol, hell look at all the turbo projects pushing 350whp on 20 or so psi... even if the m62 is running 20psi.. we all know it's not pushing 350WHP

I just have to work during the day. So, With daylight savings and whatnot, it makes it hard to make a video during the day. I will make another video later but without the tune it could break that motor in a heartbeat. Its not just a m62, its a 1000cfm procharger! I just wanted to give you guy the chance just to see it a least running. I dont want you guys to sit in the dark for a year.

get a decent vid 2morrow or on your lunch lol and please please get that tuned.. i don't want to see another procharged eco blow from lack of tunage and such i'm happy.. honestly i wouldn't recommend running the m62 untuned much less something that pushes almost double the cfm

lets not go into a bashing war.

But yes like both of you had said you are right. everyone needs to understand that CFM is going to be a HUGE difference on the Procharger and TEMPS as well. Take 2 different sized turbos........are they going to give the same HP? no.....because they flow differently. the procharger will flow more air then our eaton.

pertty much it. I can probably for see additional members comming in and saying something like the poster we are correcting will say.

to those i simply say check the other procharger page before posting here everything has been discussed there......

Cool vid,but i cant hear **** because of the music.I dont really like how slowly it boost builds though. You hit 20-21 psi,but that was only for like a split second. Can you plaes post the dyno sheet so we can see where the power really kicks in.From the vid,it looks like its all top end. From light to light and midrange,id take the eaton.Get that **** tuned and dynoed,i wanna see what kinda numbers it will put down.
