I find 94 everywhere I go here in BC. Not sure why you're so limited on choice. Then again, the manual reccomends 91, so I put in 91 (unless they offer 92 instead, then I use that).

I found a place when we were driving around today that had VP race fuel 100 octane unleaded. The car ran like night and day from the 91. The throttle response is better, gas mileage is better and I seem to be getting a little bit more boost. The down side is that the place is an hour away and it was $7.25 a gallon not to practical.

i put 92 in my car once and it felt slower and i thought i got horrible gas mileage, maybe its just me though. I only now run 93 from sunoco, if the price stays down. if not im going to be running 92, ugh.

I've been running 87 and 93, I keep switching back and forth and don't notice a real difference. It been cold her in Northern VA so the cooler temps has probobly helped keep the predetonation down, but I'll be going over to 93 all togther by the end of the month. I drive about 100 miles a day so gas hurts my wallet and I want some more mods damn it.

You do know that the 87 is bad on the SS/SC don't you? I really hope you baby it when you put that CRAP in the tank. Higher octane fuel is hard on all of our wallets but that is the price you must pay when you own this car.

funny enough i have some input on this from just today.

Ive been running my car with E94 octane for a while now (finally found a station that has it here in edmonton) and due to small amounts of knock here and there I like to put in an octane boost every tank.

Knock is almost non-existant now, with colder plugs E94 and Penzoil octane boost.

well, last week i couldnt get in to the city to fill up so i had to put $20 of 91 in for 2 days of work.

holy ****, the difference was VERY noticable.
i was getting an audible sound at WOT that sounded like spark blowout....
the HP was noticably less....and there was an almost hesitant surge at lower RPM when you punch it.
not to mention a healthy 4-5* of knock

so im like...**** this.
today i put a bottle of NOS Racing formula in, with a full tank of E94.
there is absolutely 0 knock. the HP is DEFINATELY noticable....the surging is gone....along with the audible sound.

you guys put WAY to little importance on what you put in your tank.
do NOT skimp a few bucks at the pumps.

Yeah, I sit in traffic sometimes for 2 and a half hours to get back from work for a grand total of about 40 miles, usually never even get to 4th gear and that's shifting at 2 grand. Traffic here sucks, I make sure I'm out of gas thursdays and fill up with premium to have good gas for the weekend then I go on it hard. 87 is not BAD for your car it's just not going to perform as well cause the knock sensor will change your timing to try to compensate as much as possible.

I wish there was somewhere around here where I could get something over 93 octane, I'd like to at least try it. As it is I may have to put a bottle of that NOS Racing Formula in my next tank and see what that does for me...

The gas station I go to around the corner from my house has the weirdest mix of octane I've seen, 87, 89, 93 and 94. I always get the 94, even though it's $.05/g for that 1 extra octane.

In my tiny suburb of Austin the local walmart (where I always fill up - 3 cents off ) carries 87 89 and 93

I could just go out the local airport and fill up with some of that gas :P You can just drive right onto the runway here - perfect place to race, especially when your friends can turn on the runway lights with their radios.
