u will definately not be sorry with the Corsa. They only thing that turned me off about the GMPP exhaust was that is was 2.25" piping.. why? when the rest of it is 2.5" kind of restrictive especially if u plan on modding the car and putting a smaller pulley on
Called my dealership for pricing on the GMPP sports exhaust and its 610$ I went on GM parts direct and put the part number from the first page and it gave me the muffler tip only. Anyone have the part number for this? All I want to do is buy one! I Hate shopping!

No, you get more than 5 hp. I can garentee that, larger piping and a free flowing muffler is going to be closer to 10 hp. When I got the magnaflow, my torque steer got so bad it was scary, 5 extra hp wouldn't do that.

as a note to the hp with exhausts, i think it is measured as percentages rather than mechanical power. The increased flow is where the power is coming from. The more power you add to the car the quicker exhaust gases are created which means if there is less restriction the gases can get out faster which in turn increases power. It was mentioned that a 2.5" exhaust will perform much better than that of a 3" exhaust if the flow rate of the 2.5 was higher. Diameter plays a role but total flow of the heated gases will ultimately lead to better performance.
edit: that being said, while a few hp over stock may not seem much the overall result will be better as mods are added to increase mechanical hp since the performance exhuast would be less restrictive than stock

4-5hp, if you are lucky, is all you will really get out of a catback exhaust on these cars.
long over due ... here is a comparison of a GM performance exhaust and a stock exhuast.
