I ran 2.5 from the cat back no resinator just a 40 series flow master. Well neighbor aggrivating don't know they don't really care for me anyways but it definantly turns heads. It is really deep when you ease on it and when you got Wot it gets reall loud and is not quite as deep.

I like it alot. To me it sounds better than any aftermarket exhaust currently sold for the cobalt and it cost about a third of the price.

SWEET!!! Thanks alot, I'm getting the flowmaster then. My (and your) cobalt is gonna be the most unique sounding one out there! Im payin 200 for the full cat back system is that around what you payed? Is there anyway I could hear/see it? Oh and one more thing, did your boost go down since the exhaust is more free flowing?

I payed 196. I havn't noticed my boost go down but I havn't really been looking. I did notice that the throttle seemed a little more responsive. I can take a pic of the actual muffler. I got them to use the stock exhaust tip. I tried getting a video but my comp says it's corrupt. I will try again though. One more thing the video I shot didn't do it justice. When you first start it it is deep and when you get on it it sounds a little ricey but after about 4 minutes it stays very deep. The video I took didn't do any justice for how it sounds.

Blown4banger here is a vid of the exhaust at start up: http://media.putfile.com/cobalt-sssc...ies-flowmaster

I like the backfires too. It is way loder when driving opposed to revving in neutral. And like I said it sounds kind of rice for actually about 2 mins not 4 and then it stays deepI was looking at the boost guage when I was just out and it seems to climb a little faster.

look in the video section under new exhaust. Someone else posted theirs while racing but it is just the muffler not full exhaust.

Has anyone tried getting rid of their muffler and just running a resonator like the SRT-4?

you might as well run straight exhaust, the resonator doesn't really do anything exept take some interior sound away, and the car sounds gay with no muffler. Plus I hear it gets really annoying really fast.

Well I don't know about you but I love the way the SRT-4 sounds. I love my SS/SC but I was wondering if it was possible to sound like that. It's got a real low note to it. Obviously it pops and gargles. But when it's not doing that it sounds tough

you should watch out, when getting an exhaust with a loud deep tone. I love my flowmaster don't get me wrong, but cruising at 75 on the freeway sometimes i want to rip it out and melt it. I have to turn the radio up WAY loud to drown out the constant uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh coming from the back seat area. Small down side, I wouldn't let something like that detur me from getting what i want.

In my opinion Flowmasters are a V8 only muffler.

Not sure if this has been posted in here yet ( too many pages to read ) but i was over on magnaflow's site and saw they have clips of the 2.2 and 2.0 catbacks up now: LINK

Ps: they must be mildy handicapped cuz the SS/SC is labeled as "2.2 I4 supercharged" and the pic is of an LT
