Wanna know something weird? My car no longer torque steers at all. It just points straight and goes. One of 2 things is causing this. Either has something to do with the F40, or I have gotten so used to it over the years with the TVS and the broad power of the turbo makes it seem less dramatic lol.

Only 7300. By spec the cams should peak between 8000-8500, and from the looks of the graph I'd say that's about right. I only hopped on the rollers for fun, I wasn't really shooting for any number, just wanted to see the tq curve.

That very well could be it. Even though these cans don't let it hit full boost till 4 on the street, it's still kinda violent lol. Once it's lit though she's pretty much point and shoot.

Well of course it will change. How much is the question. Intake to exhaust pressure ratio will come into play also.

Replaced plugs(ac delco copper .030), car is more responsive. And check engine light for 0300 didn't come for about a day. But I still get a ghost misfire.... I dont feel it and my code reader says its low rpm and throttle. Ya running 60s. Stupid check engine light. Not running any boost leaks or anything and it still threw intake perf code. We shut it off, maybe theyre connected.
Runs great, fast, 20in hg at idle. Idk whats up..

Hey guys I'm doing an lsj turbo swap. The engine is torn down, ready for new internals because of a bent rod. So, my power goal is ~300 hp on an externally waste gated ko4 with bypass block off. My question is, forged rods/pistons or will new stockers hold up? I just don't want to waste money. Thanks

Friends I have a riddle for you:
Why would an lsj turbo run p1101 maf freq code and p0300 random misfire? No leaks, new plugs, cleaned tb, is it map sensor??? Only ghost misfire that I dont even feel at low rpm and idle.

Seems to wanna go lean, afrs bounce from 14.0-low 16s sometimes. Other times its perfect around 14.7

Although, setting that o2 code to no mil instead of no err seems to have worked for the lean/rich test

Start by getting a real turbo, a k04 is a waste on an LSJ and makes your life a complete headache. The LSJ flows air better than the LNF and will spool the k04 too quickly and makes the car fall on its face once it gets to a decent RPM

I was gonna say the same, but many that have this already planned out don't care to listen.

They all live and learn. I have yet to see one single lsj-k04 built that wasn't abandoned or changed very quickly upon completion

Alan, Phillip Gruver has a k04 on his lsj and has had for over a year. He has had very good luck with it and loves it. Only one I know of though.

Good to hear. I'm not at all saying it's impossible, just takes careful tuning and proper boost control and smart driving.

Wasn't trying to downplay you at all. Just helping your point really. 1 guy has done it and liked it. I was actually working on a K04 swap and backed out before it was finished. I just picked up a precision 5431 today actually.
