I tried his base settings and I still couldn't get lower than 950 smoothly. It's his magic Twinkie mods.
We don't have IAC or PID idle control or this would be much easier. Our main control of idle is timing and even with that bottomed out it wouldn't go down. Even to get it at 950 I had to lie to the car in several places.
And what still doesn't make sense is that these injectors in several cars that I know of idle about 100rpm above commanded. No matter what. Even when using the override in hpt scanner.

Even on stock cams and 79's I couldn't get it lower than 750 unless using hpt override
I've had the base/over/under all over the place trying to get something to work. Only thing that got me owe with the 1000's was setting the scalar way high and dropping down the idle tps max. That got to the point where the car was on the edge of losing idle control.
