John I've been meaning to ask you about that oil pan... Made for track use or a safety gain for the street/strip as well?

John why did you put the EGT in #3?? Is that the hottest cylinder on a LSJ?

#3 or #4 are the troublesome cylinders. #4 its too difficult to package the probe around the t stat and the heater hoses. #3 does the job.

egt doesnt rise fast enough and afr the same to help you against runaway detonation on a turbo, but it is a useful tuning tool and an advisory that you are going too far one way or the other. I also enjoy watching the differences in egt according to air density on a day to day basis...

I've driven lsj's that drop off ,im taking about my setup and why it doesn't feel like it drops off.I've just noticed on lsj's I would usually see boost drop on the top end but mine rises.

Sorry I wasn't calling you out.
An lsj holding power past 7 is just nearly unheard if on the m62 unless you have a great head/cams setup and great cooling.

as far as I know, its not simply a case of adding cooling or a ported head or cams; the blower cant deliver; it goes out of its efficiency range as the revs go over 6500 . check the compressor map for more details?

A 2.9 at 6500 is completely off the map; nothing to look at lol
I understand what you're saying though.

I know a guy that has a CTS-V, and there is lots of snow on the ground...I could maybe convince him to take it out which very possibly could result in it being totalled, does that count?

What are/were the EGTs you would see at the limit; gas vs e85?
