I have a friend with nitrous on his cobra...$60 for a decent night of racing lol but its cheaper for now than him buying a SC or turbo setup. To each their own.

think i found the root of my problem
is it possible that my springs binding on the head casting is causing it to flex the spring at an angle and the rocker then hits the retainer
need help get new reatiners or go for the new supertech 75lb springs

that is a common problem all you need to do is relieve the head as for the retainers I would just smoth them out and roll with them

Mrb you think the clearance in the pocket is causing my contact on the retainers?

Is that the root cause of my rocker retainer contact

good post and info Advise, I stand corrected. I wonder what the age of the heads are; could be casting issues, could be supertech specs are out but based on what I know I would bet supertech are the same as they ever were. Worth a call to ask I suppose they are very helpful there. Cmiller clearanced his LNF head and I imagine you could do the same thing... the LSJ guy doesnt indicate any issues with retainer contact?

Also I ran supertechs since 2007 never had an issue before or since, other than LNF rocker contact most recently.

I think that the clearance issue is causing the spring to bind under high rpm causing the rocker to contact the retainer

we measured the contact of the rocker to the retainer. its in contact with the valve closed.

If you're on 91 or greater, water/meth and 80s are all you need on a 2.6

1000s & reg. is recommended if you run e85 using that pulley.

Water methanol is safe to use with the tvs. Coating and destroying needle bearings are nothing more than wives tales.

All I need is 80s and a retune and larger nozzle? Sweeeet.

I've already proved 50k miles worth of meth pre blower does nothing to coating despite what others have said. But I'm sure you already have fought those battles as well lol.

Where's the best place to pick up 80s

That's why I plan on running a solid motor with te m62 on top. Once I'm done dynoing, pull it back to 300 motor and keep the happy juice for high speed encounters
On the track of course.
