Is your vss hooked up and functioning properly?

It does. If the vss isn't functioning, as soon as you let off the gas, instead of going to coast down timing, the car thinks "oh **** I'm supposed to be idling"
So it jumps to the overspeed table and you see a crazy neg timing trying to pull the rpm's down.
I went through a huge battle with this when I had the 04 trans in there. Even between shifts rpm would dive-bomb until I got creative with the timing tables.

It was just a suggestion. Would be easy to overlook the vss when having that issue cuz you would never think they'd be related.

But as we've learned, damn near everything is related lol

I don't. I started on it. But by the looks off ZZP's pics for the OD pulley you don't have to take much material away. Do you have to tilt the motor down to get that ATI on? It's wider than the stock damper and doesn't look like it'll be able to squeeze it in as it sits.

It does look like a bitch to get on that's why I left it for now lol. It almost looks like up gotta tilt the motor down to slide it on.

it is but if the crank keyway is extended its a lot easier

the stock cams are on a 107 lsa which blows a lot of cylinder pressure off at low rpm and builds it at high
the zzp stg2 cams are on a 111 which blows of cylinder pressure at high rpm builds cylinder pressure at low

now the cam timing differences stock cams and the zzp cams could be building more manifold pressure due to the longer period of time that the intake valves are closed before opening if that is the case then a 2.6 pulley could be building pressure equivalent of a 2.5 or smaller this is just an idea I had and not gospel as I seen a pressure increase on the stage 2 cams also

even on the stock muff i didn't see what i am with the cams and i am also on a full 3in exh

Interest concept. The only things I changed so far in the motor to make a difference like this are my cams and head. Everything else is identical from last year. I've also noticed my boost is much snappier and spends way less time building up. Unless all this is my boost gauge playing tricks on me.

Is it worth upgrading to LS4 throttle body with a tvs with a 2.8 pully running a griffin and dual pass? I have one but never installed it.
