Well guys, I have disappointing news. I did not break 11's. I didn't even beat my time from last year. No one did actually. Last year we went the weekend after their drag finals, and the track was prepped so nicely, this year it was not. Weather was nice, mid 60's ad sunny and calm. I was spinning the slicks all through 1st and some of 2nd at the beginning of Saturday and ran a few 12.6's with 2.05 60's, and never trapped better than 115mph. Ran that pretty consistent all day. They shut down the track about 6 due to people leaving early.
Yesterday was in the low 80's and sunny and windy, and there were very few people out there, never had to wait in line. Most people from Saturday didn't want to come back out just to not run what they usually do earlier in the year and in times past. They apologized for the prep as it is towards the end of the year and they didn't want to put a lot down. They then laid a small amount down right at the starting line, which helped for about 30 minutes before getting torn up. In that time I cut a 1.85 60' and had a little trouble getting into 2nd in the high rpms, kept going down the track and hit the limiter in 3rd a way before the traps. Limiter in 3rd was set to 8100 but in 4th and 5th was set to 7600 1st and 2nd 7850, and it seemed to be hit or miss with it hitting the limiter at the top of 3rd...nowhere near 8100. I went back and turned every gear up to 8150 to avoid any limiters for whatever reason in 3rd. Went out and cut a 1.83 60' and slung 1st to 8k and shifted to 2nd, which really didn't want to go in at 8k, so that was a slow shift, ran 2nd to 8k and hammered it into 3rd, saw an 8.0 1/8th mile and knew the 1-2 shift killed me, held out to the end and ran a 12.3 @114 I believe it was, will have to check the slip. Tried it again next to a loud ass gutted K20 hatch with no exhaust, and couldn't hear myself think, crap time. Went again and traction had gotten worse than it was all weekend. Then my time didn't register anyways, tried 2 more passed (at this time about 3:00, all but about 6 of us had gotten frustrated and left and we were the only ones running), and got no times. They said the wind was blowing leaves in front of the beams and tripping them, which would make sense since it was windy and it is fall. Cut my losses and came home. High ET's, low traps for everyone, but I really cant complain. I drove my car 200 miles, beat the **** out of it hard for 2 days, and drove it home 200 miles. And had a blast, as we had 28 people with our group alone.
I'll see what videos were taken and post my time slips as well. I am a little upset, as I tried everything I could to get the car to hook, but it just wasn't in the cards. All in all though, the weekend as a whole, was great

Sucks on the track prep. I really really hate when our local track does the sake and skimps out on prep. I mean come on we're there to run hard so prep the damn track.
At least you had consistent mid 12's on shitty prep. Means cars still doing well and strong. Hopefully soon you get your 11's slip. I know it's my goal.

Its possible lol
I understand not prepping a lot for street legal days, but when you start losing customers because of it something needs to be done. I can't complain too much though, because the staff is really friendly and laid back. Also, I won't be getting my 11 second pass on the TVS because I'm turbo swapping this winter. Unless I go to the last event on the 5th but no one else is going.

It would be different if the track was right here. But it will be either $75 in gas if I drive it and hopefully not break anything lol or $160 or so in gas to trailer it + $40 to race, and thats just in hopes that they prep the track even later in the year for their last event, which is a street legal drag. Money isn't a huge issue if I would know that the track is going to stick, but I don't have high hopes.

We'll see lol
Gov, forgot to say it, but not bad for your first time out. It can get tricky trying to pedal it on street tires. If your track is anything like ours and they don't let you run in the grooves with street tires, then street tires seem to hook way worse on the track than on the street. Your times are about what I ran stock blower and stock head on E85 and street tires. Went 13.6 with a 2.25 60' amd 109.7mph trap. Get some tires and get back out!
