I've told you many times and said it hear. I hate cookie cutter builds. Thats not what I'm after. I have things I wanna do different. Money stops me from now.

I would love to beat Bryan's stock cams record; tough to chase a number when it's not an identical dyno

For now I'm stuck with a head that leaks oil past the valves... explains a lot of the head aches I've been having aside from the high IAT.

considering it made 264whp at 10.7 afr (2.9 pulley/ati) 20-21 psi and 21* advance... with a leaky head and 170-180* iat2 on a 2.5 zzp catback

Steven I just wanna see that powerband of yours LOL.

We're planning on getting down to you again soon to re dyno our car. Basically a one year later type of thing with all the new mods.

My goal really isn't only to just beat those #'s. It would just be nice if we got higher. We just wanna have a good reliable set up with all the parts I have laying around.

I'm still amazed that no one , without nitrous has cracked 400whp on a tvs with stock displacement. it's not that hard people, it really isn't. You don't even need to pull apart the bottom end either to do it. For those of you who say you don't chase numbers. bullshit. this is a numbers driven industry, you know it, i know, and everyone on this forum knows it.

I'm still shocked no one has yet either. Things are there. Something always happens. Seems people underestimate fuel delivery a lot.

And duhh!! Of course its a HP war, if not, we would never see improvements with any platform from manufacture to aftermarket.

I still wish my fuel pump wouldn't have gone out on the way to the dyno day when I was on stock cams. I trapped 3mph faster on the stock cams than on the aftermarket ones, but everyone was running a little slower that day too I guess. I wanted 380whp out of the setup, made 370, made some tweaks after the dyno and called it good. Thought about putting a header with a 3" collector on, but I knew the setup was coming off the car anyways so I didn't bother. Now I am happy with 600.

When I'm bored, I find my way on the Honda forums to see what they are doing and what has been done. They have quite a bit of sc guys well over 400 whp and even a handful of 500 whp guys. Impressive non the less. Learning fro others and seeing what they do makes me hopeful in thinking once we resolve whats holding us back, we can have a lot of LSJ TVS cars in the numbers

A K20 with a lysholm 1600 is a nice blower setup. They have a few things working for them. 11:1 CR, a head that flows like crazy, and variable cam angles with 6 tables worth of control, mixed with the fact that they can rev to 9k on a 100% stock longblock. Yeah they love boost, of any kind lol

Don't see the big deal in having 400whp,you can run 12's with 300-350 IMO

I agress. I know the head and bottom end are what gives them a better edge. It's cool to see things different over there besides just turbo builds.

Exactly. We bought these toys to have fun in and enjoy them. Why not see what they are reall capable of. Some get bored and leave, some stay around.

2000s and nitro/methane would do it

but it's just not practical

To get into the 370-380s on a stock engine you need to a lean on the afr and add an ridiculous amount of timing w/ a 2.5/2.6 when using a pump option (e85).

Paul, anthony and myself are building the most badass cooling system for a supercharged cobalt, at least that I know of. It wont be cheap but iat2s will be below ambient.
