Good point.

For me it is 344/301 or bust. That will be the highest "confirmed" TVS dyno without a ported head.

Getting shot down isn't the problem. Having high hopes and having the dyno break your heart is lol. That's why I don't really care about dynoing my car right now. I wanna see what kind of times I can lay down. Track doesn't lie.

Dyno numbers mean dick go see what u trap. I've made more than 344 on pump gas but could care less about bragging rights or the dyno thread. When u trap 118 on the stock head and block that's where it counts. I should have took my slicks off for a pass and trapped 120+ Lolz

Shooting for 130 traps now

A couple years back with my M62 with basiclly a 2.8" pulley and meth I dyno'd at a local shop and made 301whp/260wtq. I laughed because obviously there was no way. Went to another local shop and made 262whp/ 227wtq. Just goes to show that a dyno is just a tuning tool.

Silly Cobalt owners, real race cars turn. Dynos are great for measuring power improvements, as long as you keep using the same one.

Don't get me wrong. I think it is cool that you have built yourself a monster Cobalt and race it on the strip. But your whole argument of "dyno numbers don't matter" is completely off base on this platform. In all honestly, "1/4 mile times" don't mean anything to 95% of LSJ/LNF owners. People ask me what my car would run and I tell them low 13s with street tires and high 12s with slicks and a good driver. But I (like 95% of this platform) will never make the commitment of money and time to EVER accomplish those feats with my car. Its an out dated motor sport that does not appeal to this crowd.

The 80s called and said that drag racing is out of style...

Again. I don't mean any disrespect toward you. But in the context of this platform, you are the odd ball. lol

And yes I have been following your build. Its guys like you who make me want to open up my wallet and spend spend spend! I just can not make up my mind how much more I want to stick into this econobox. The new Cadillac ATS and Gen 6 Camaro and looking pretty nice...

I say **** it. Because numbers are always different. I can dyno my car at a. And make 440whp and go to b. my dyno and make 420whp on my setup as of now. It's all ****. Now about the drag, every person drives different and therefore will show different results so it's not in my eyes the best way to tell power. I have a Balt running 12.0 stock turbo and it's only on 22-23lbs. If someone is consistent then im sure it can be rated but with someone who does it here and there it's not a legit way to tell. My .03 cents.
