oh yes ik and im not trying to come off hostile or nething cuz ik it def is hard to hit times and will take practice no doubt bout it..its jus not a close drive for me to go and possibly get booted and in all honesty i dont want a roll cage in mine if i do its my DD rain/snow/shine lol..im jus very confident in my setup and my tune and if it really needs it i can hit nitrous but id much rather not lol...im hoping to make it to GLD shootout next summer when im back in WI and well see wut it does then...hopefully lol

Ya I can't wait to see what your car runs. I will be heading to the track Sept 1st. Just fine tweaking the last of my tune and I'm all good to go. I'm not going to go all out and be ready to trailer my car home but hopefully I can dive into the 12's. That's my goal anyways.

im not saying u wont run those times man, but keep in mind my times were on a stock setup and im running faster than turbo swaps, and guys with built motors. And getting kicked off the track would be a good thing um were sorry sir your cobalt is too fast to run here without a cage. Taylor my tracks are both nhra tracks and dont play around with that. I know alot of guys that work there. If i go to my regular track and i hit an 11.40 they may not kick me off but any faster they will have too. and its not a dick measuring contest i look forward to the day when there are others competing with me within a tenth or so of a second. And i run stock axles because bulit trans or not id rather break a 50$ axle then shear an input shaft, or crack the trans housing, or explode the diff gears. To each his own though. i am aiming for low 11,s all motor and have a nitrous kit to push her into the 10s if need be

if the track was just down the road i wouldnt mind going for the day and havin my tune tweaked and trying to get it down to an 11.5 but its a bit of a drive to go ther and to turn around and get booted lol...i do agree it would be funny to hear them say ur cobalt is to fast u cant run nemore lol but once i get it back home i can take it ther and mess around since its nice and close and if i get booted its nothing but a jog down the road lol

richmond dragway is about 50 mins from me. Their prep isnt good. I typically run .2 slower there as does everyone else. Since its closer its fun though and alot of street nights there. Dinwiddie is where u will leave your trans on the pavement prep is so good. Every time i launch there im expecting something to break. if my 12.0 pass had been at dinwiddie it would have been 11.80s all day. But when i go there i trailer the car and it costs me about 300$ every time i go up. we need a cheaper hobby lol

My track is 200 miles away And its the closest one. Luckily I have friends with faster cars so there is usually a trailer just in case. All the old school drag racers I know say they trap 2-3 mph slower than the track thats only 2 hours away from our track and the one in South Dakota. I dont get why though since elevation and climate is almost identical. Maybe they drive differently at this track

I am considering a ported head but I feel like my car make enough HP for what I need it to do. Feeling someone else's setup might be just enough for me to make the jump.
