Oil madness?

I was Curious to see what kind of oil people on the forums are running.. i think this may have been asked before, but i couldnt find it... the reason i ask is i have to change my oil today and i was wondering should i stay with the Mobil 1 extended performance, or should i try something diffrent?

Royal Purple in my SRT-4 running it since 5k miles. I didnt think it really would increase gas mileage but i use to get about 290-300 per tank, now I am getting 310-325 per tank.

Does gm get money on selecting one exact oil? I mean it brings business to the oil maker, so wouldent Mobile try n have some say on what they sugguested when choosing oil, or is this all theory? I use Royal Purple......Once again you get what ya pay for
