Is it ok if i install my downpipe without this??

Is it ok if i install my downpipe without this??

Ok all i just got in my downpipe from zzp with the cat...Now i have a 02 bung and i have a bung for my wideband but i dont have my wideband yet...Now if i plug my wideband bung would the car be ok to run without the wideband...

Im not gonna race the car or get on it, i wanna break it in for a little bit and by that time ill have my wideband and what not, but will it be ok to instal??

The car doesn't need the wideband to run, so you should be fine.

As long at there is no leak where you temporarily plugged the wideband bung, I can't foresee any problem.

huh?

did your car come with a wideband? It ran fine from the factory im sure.. and no widebands were put in.

im seriously wondering about the author of this question..

lol, i understand that the car ran fine without a wideband that aint the point here...I have the downpipe, with one bung that will be plugged but it will be plugged with a spark plug my friend uses this as his bung for his 10 sec wrx...ok well thanks for answerin my question

newbie question but thats ok hell thats what the forums are for in my opinion. you'll be find. as long as its plugged it wont affect it at all. think bout it all the o2 sensor for the wideband is, is a plug. yes its an expensive plug that has another purpose lol but basically a plug none the less.

no problem at all man.
even without the plug it wont hurt anything for a short time, but it will sound very ricerish

so yah we installed it and there already was a huge problem because i got my corsa welded on...Made the exhaust a little bit shorter overall and it was such a tight fit...We got it to where there are no leaks and we put a spark plug in the 02 sensor for the wideband and driving on the highway 70 mph and that plug just got pushed out!!!! car sounded like **** but for the short time that it wasnt leaking it sounded so good!!!!

go to your local exhaust shop theyll have an o2 plug cost ya 10 bucks if that.

lol i know...everything was closed tonite at 9pm thats why i had to result to a spark plug
