Okay idk about this but
Okay idk about this but
Is there any way to get my stock boost gauge to have a blue light instead of how it is now? I don't really want to buy a new one or anything just seeing if there is anyway to switch out the lights to like a led or something.
Anyone???
Anyone???

supposedly you can crack open the front of the gauge plate but ive never tried....either way you will have to soder the LED in there if your hellbent on keeping it....
and your cluster wont match
i soldered my own LEDs in

ok first step.... remove the pillar (im assuming you know how to unbolt the screw)
unclip the boost gauge (duur)
pull out the boost gauge and have the gauge's ass end (where the wires stick out) facing you.
Now use a flathead screw driver and VERY CAREFULLY slip it under the chrome bezel
twist the screw driver about 45 degrees prying the "lip" of the bezel up all the way around until it comes loose.
Now using the same screwdriver pop the gauge reading (the one with the numbers of boost) IN to the gauge so you have better access to the needle.
Pull the needle off (carefully)
Pull the gauge face off (one with numbers)
you will see 2 squares near the center of the needle. You have plenty of room to solder in a big ass LED light.
As far as boost calibration goes vs cluster, i suggest you plug it in after you solder the LED light where one of those squares goes and see if it is calibrated correctly by putting the ignition in the forward position without starting it. It should read 0
When it is calibrated just slap on the chrome bezel and use the flathead to tap it in tight
there ya go!

yes i know you went with blackcatcustoms, and i might as well since i couldnt scratch off the BIG ticks on my speedometer and rpm monitor.
