I dont post much on .net forums I mostly hang out on ss.com but I have seen that the forums are busier here so here is my first thread!!

So I am looking for an exhaust system on my car that is a little louder than stock, but not too loud, but more importantly, a system that is known to have the best gains...

Opinions please? I think I want to go with corsa but I dont know the difference between sport and touring.

I personally dont car about loud. If you have the power to back it up then go for it. I have a customer build 3 inch cat back with magnaflow setup. I havent had anyone tell me it doesnt sound good. Its pretty loud but it sounds deep and mean. I love this setup and would highly suggest it.....

 

so you have a custom 3 inch from the cat- back with a magnaflow muffler?? I dont understand.

 

from what i have seen magna flow is the only exhaust system that gives you the specs on the system. 7 extra horses and 6 more lbs of tourqe not too bad if you ask me. plus the tone is ok. what do you all think about custom exhaust systems?

 

Never know what your getting with a custom exhaust. At least with the corsa, borla, GM, magnaflow systems you have a good idea what your getting.

 

The touring is supposed to sound almost like stock and the sport is loud and raspy.

Just installed the Corsa Sport, it is pretty loud, but this is what I wanted, a more aggresive sound. I love it. Just my 2 cents.

 

yeah i have the corsa sport as well and love the way it sounds. loud crisp and almost like a srt which is what i wanted.

not yet, I'll have to work on one, but I don't really have a way to record audio, what is the cheapest/easiest way to record a sound clip?

IMO it is pretty close to the srt 4

 

im getting the GMPP exhaust just because i enjoy the way it sounds and the gains i ve seen have been right around 5 hp not sure what the torque was.

 

someone should make a compilation video of the different exhaust and what they sound like....like they have at the srt forums for the different BOV

 

Here is a video of my ss with corsa sport exhaust, i love the tone and it sounds better in person.

 

The Corsa Touring Sounds almost stock and, according to Corsa, has the same power gains as the Sport. It's expensive though.

i got a custom 3 in with a apexi muffler and it sounds great. very deep and throaty got 9 hp and 7 1/2 lbs of torque . not to bad but im just glad it doesnt sound like a ricer. i was just asking what you thought of custom exhaust to see if the results were the same.

A bit louder than stock with the greatest HP increase from a buy and bolt on kit.
