P0017 issue weird???????
Hey guys, I have a 2007 Cobalt supercharged with a stage 2 tune.
I have a weird issue with P0017. I have driven with the light for about 6,500 kilometers and I still have no issues starting or idleing. Just the odd rev bounce with these cars but nothing out of the ordinary.
My thing is the light will only turn on when I start the car. I drove around 150km one way today with no light but as soon as I turned off the car and then turned it on about an hour later boom light is back. I need help because I'm tired of the orange light when I'm driving.
Things with my car...
- NO catalytic converter.
According to the CEL I'm also burning rich which I'm sure is because of the cat. But weird enough I haven't gotten any cat below efficient levels CEL in a long time. So is there something there?
So what could be the cause of this light. I checked timing it is good. I have a brand new tensioner in my car and it is good. All the guides are okay. I'm starting to get stumped on what to do here.
All the help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you pulled out the cam sensor, retimed it and put it back in? Its a super easy process.
