Does anyone know what could cause a p0231 code. ( secondary fuel pump circuit low)
What the hell does that mean?

Im running a ottp stage 2 with the canned tune and i was planning to get tuned at the end of winter. I have a couple of other codes also. P 300 and p 172 I know what these codes are and I figure they are a result of the tune. I was just wondering if the first one could be a result of the tune also. It was'nt really a problem until the engine light came on this morning on my way too work.

what are all your mods?

 

open inertia switch
blown F/P fuse
open fuel pump monitor circuit
open fuel pump control circuit
faulty fuel pump relay
I would check the fuel pump inertia switch first to make sure it hasnt been tripped by hitting a bump or an impact.it should be located behind the passenger side lower kick panel under the glove box.It is a small black box with a red button on it.If it is up,push it down until it clicks and cycle the key a few times to prime the fuel pump and see if it starts.


other wise you need a new fuel pump.

 

Did this code ever stop showing up? I trip the same code from time to time, but the car has never not started, it always fires up just fine. I'm thinking it's something else tripping it and it's false, but I'd like to know for sure.
