P1183 Supercharger Inlet Pressure Sensor

This is the sensor on top of the supercharger right after the throttle body. Do you need it? I'm going turbo soon and have no idea what to do with it....any help would be greatly appreciated

And might I add, car ran fine with the sensor unplugged

37 views and not one response....I think i'm getting rid of it completely. Only thing I can think of is if I need it, i'll have to attach it to the intake manifold or somewhere between the intake manifold and the throttle body

I put that sensor onto the front of my Hahn intake manifold for my turbo project. One for the sensor that was on the old intake manifold and the other for the sensor from the supercharger

(the 3 middle holes are accessory ports for NOS, etc that I am not using

God Bless Billy Hahn!

You need that pressure sensor dude. Hold onto it and don't get it confused with your MAP sensor when you plug stuff back in.

no it's the s/c inlet pressure sensor, IAT sensors are in the MAF and MAp

NO, and far from it. The IAT1 sensor is in the MAF, and the IAT sensor is in the Intake manifold/Intercooler on the top left. Says Bosch on it.

Well I just wanted to say that I ran my car without it and it ran fine. But I guess I will leave it on. The intake manifold adapter that I have doesn't have a slot/hole for it....so can I just literally route a vaccumm line from the intake manifold to the end of the sensor? I don't see how that wouldn't work unless the sensor has to have air constantly passing through/over it

yes, but the shorter your vacuum line the more accurate your readings will be.

What do you plan on doing with the plug-in on top of the supercharger?

Well with the supercharger off of the car, theres going to be a hole in the supercharger for where that sensor used to be. I'm not selling my supercharger though so it doesn't matter if theres a hole in my supercharger or not since I won't be using nor will I be selling it.

It's supercharger inlet pressure...not boost pressure, but the pressure before the boost....Honestly, I don't think you need it, but Psykostevo is a very smart man on this board and I trust him so i'm going to keep that sensor.

Also, if you unplug it on the car, you will throw a cel...aka p1183...however my car ran fine without the sensor plugged in...so I have no idea if it plays a significant role or not
