piggy back
piggy back
wat is the piggy back. is it an upgrade for the ecu or something im really not experienced with the domestic cars and dont kno wat this is. its all new to me. explaination of wat the piggyback is and how to hook it up would be good
Piggyback is a computer/controller that is soldered into the engine harness and can manipulate/change values from the whatever sensors it is wired in to... This is used rather then recalibrating the factory PCM or replacing the factory PCM... This is why its called a piggyback
One of the main reasons (besides money lol) for me not getting any performance mods yet is because Im waiting on an actual tunner like ls1edit or like a predator handheld tuner. Once these come out then I will go all out on the mods (assuming I have the money by then).
Im not bashing the piggyback and I think its a wonderful thing but its just not for me.

I believe I remember reading that is with everything. He dynoed somewhere around 180 stock on a dyno dynamics dyno I think. I could be way off in right field too though.

so the piggyback only does things for wat its wired into cuz im looking for a system to hook up to produce power and be able to accept mods but not a stand alone comp. so is the piggyback the way to go or go with a diff system, any suggestions

yep i got a dynodynamics baseline pull sitting here in front of me saying we only have 184.7whp with the airbox mod on
i then have a baseline mustang dyno without the airbox mod on (from like a week or two ago) that says we have 206whp
that's over a 20hp difference just from different dynos, with all the temps and conditions about the same. hell does anyone know if there's one lower than a dynodynamics? i'd like to go pull on it so i can have a printout of my 150whp cobalt to show people how little power i have after i beat them
(i already use the 184.7 print out from the dynodynamics) Thread
