Popped out of 5th gear
I didn't know you had a CAI! If I knew that then yeah, get a hydro shield to protect that thing! I have a CAI coming in and a hydro shield is on it's way as well!
You're so unappreciative Christal!

Glad I got a decent answer out of someone
Of course it would be taken dirty!
I'm unappreciative, demanding, facepalm-worthy? You're an idgit.
Now on to threadjacking

Mine used to do this with first gear all the time, before I had the transmission rebuilt. So much torque
that it would pop out of first if you were on it hard, lol.
I wouldnt be worried tho C..
When a syncro is wearing down, you will start grinding into w/e gear the syncro is going in. If you have to double-clutch into gear, to get it in w/out grinding, its your syncro. By double clutching, you are bypassing the need to use the syncro. This is why some old cars/trucks needed to be double clutched, before transmissions had syncros..
Another possibility. On the F35 there is two little springs for 5th, they are accesible if you take the end-plate off the trans. These lil springs keep the car in gear. It is POSSIBLE that they are not as strong as they were 103k miles ago and they are weaker at keeping her in gear.

I didn't see that! Sowwy!
I've never had to double clutch. But I have had rare occasions where I'd go to park into 1st and can't get it to go into gear. I'll have to throw into R and then into 1st. Weird, huh? Other than that, this is the first problem I've encountered.

I loved my '92 RS... it was a shame a stoned girl crossed the interstate and hit me and a Jeff. Co. cop head on @ 130mph total combined impact
Oh ****, ouch! Atleast you were ok. That sounds like it could have been REALLY bad!!
I hope she learned a VALUABLE lesson.
I just walked away with pain meds and a scratch on my right wrist from my watch. Thank God I was wearing my seatbelt.
I've pulled over on the interstate bc a friend took her seatbelt off. I told her to walk or put it back on. It took her a few minutes but she decided it was best to ride in the AC instead of 110* Alabama humid heat
