The outlet port on the M62 is actually fine the way it is. The gains you will receive are in the porting/polishing of the inlet. You will notice lower IAT2's and possibly a little more spunk. If I were to port an M62 I would leave the outlet port alone, and focus on the inlet.
3-5 * on iat2's hp wise i have no idea i didnt dyno on my old supercharger, i personally didnt notice any increase in whining as a matter of fact the whining increased when i put another stock m62 on , but that might be my ears lol
This.

I know how you feel. I bolted on a few new mods, and I can't even go test them out. It's been crazy cold here, and the roads are covered in frozen slop.
You going to the track this season.
Try searching for it. Up there on the top to the right is the search button.
Sure it would thrown your numbers off in hptuners to where changes need to be made to take full advantage. Not sure i would retune for just that right away would most likely pair it with another install and then retune. IMO

What I'd love to see and what I see lacking from the sticky on how to do the porting is a nice printable template that you can lay over the blower for the perfect outlet shape. That would be the ****. Only other way I can see to do it right is, take some off, stick the rotors back in and check to make sure the opening lines up with the edges of the lobes where the leave contact with the housing, rinse and repeat.

I would like to get there sometime this upcoming season. I would like to see what my car can do now. I would def like to come down to your track. The prep there looks amazing.
Here's from a similar thread a few weeks ago: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...eekend-238289/
Also, ebristols link is here:
I actually did exactly this last weekend. I ported the outlet to look like the pictures of someone here's steigemeier port job.
Edit: These are the before and after pics I used for reference thanks to Blur.fx:

About 3oz. came out of the S/C when completely drained. It looked pretty bad. I put 3.4 back in according to eaton's specs.
Take your time if you decide to port and polish, make sure you get all the metal flakes and dust out of their before polishing/reassembly. Also I wouldn't have been able to polish the inlet without a dremel extension, so you might want to look into getting one of those too. Fortunately, BigLots had a 25$ kit that came with 150 pieces including a variable speed dremel and an extension which worked like a champ.
Let me know if you have any questions, but that link ebristol posted above seems to have it all covered.
Also, make sure you blow your engine bay off and clean out the dust/dirt/sand around the intake manifold/fuel rail/supercharger BEFORE taking off the S/C to make sure none of that falls into your intake manifold.
