Maybe plugging it with quicksteel it is. But if it was plugged properly is there actually a downfall performance wise? I started a thread a while ago about plugging the holes and affects on performance. It was just a debate for the most part and then zoomer from ZZP chimed in and said they tested it and the car lost hp and it raised IATs. But I don't see how. I asked for actual proof but never got a response.

eaton says you can plug them... but I also heard from zzp that it creates higher iat2's but there was no proof but also no proof to say it doesnt. Looking at euthanasias videos im probably going to get mine ported

if eaton says it doesnt change the blowers performance, ill trust that over anyone else. they have spent more money than we could think building and developing the m62 supercharger. the engineers are far smarter and have far better lab equipment than anyone in the cobalt aftermarket.
Ya I know eaton says it's just a nosie thing. And I want to plug mine lol. But then zoomer came in saying they tested it and the car lost hp and had higher IATs. I told him to show me proof and he vanished

That's what Zooomer does
You can't believe everything on the internet and really, dyno-ing the same car at a different time the same day results in changes. So does the length of time on the dyno, and the settings.... Just do it

Lol that's what I said back to him. Just need to do something better than quicksteel
the ideal thing would be to have some aluminum plugs machined with flanges on them, and you drill and tap the blower case and screw them in using green loctite. however quick steel seems to have proven itself to work quite well. the nice thing about the design of the lsj intake is if the quicksteel was ever to fall out it cant actually get up into the motor.
Taken from the Eaton thread.
Basically, for the best flow and most efficiency, these ports can be blocked off, making the outlet port (triangle slot) the only port on the outlet plate of the housing

if you plug your ports your a moron. even if you did get any gain it would be like +1tq or something ridiculously low, not worth even talking about.
