Hey, does anyone know or have some facts on how much PSI our Superchargers can run "EFFICENTLY" without producing lag or over spinning or something like that?????

 

well, the max for an m62 to be efficent and not need any patch fixes on cobalt seems to be about 16-17 psi.

remember, boost is just backpressure.

 

Cobalt_Supercharged will tell you the M62 is completly out of its efficiency range at 13 psi, but I think thats BS. I'd say your at the limit of its efficency at around 15-16 psi. You hear of people running 20 psi (like myself), however the blower is creating so much heat at that boost level, its impossible to make any REAL power without cooling mods up the wazoo.

cai isnt much of a "cooling" mod. we basically have one stock.

and yes, there are a couple heat exchangers out there. cobalt-addiction is one.

 

There is no "lag" to a supercharger... that is a turbo thang... it has to "Spool" up to it's boost pressure... S/C's have instant boost... But I would agree 17 or so PSi with lots-o-cooling mods!

 

boost doesnt work in sherwood forest, too many cops out there. and they love tint!

 

Question1 15lbs of boost for stage 2 then y is there only 12lbs for that used car that i almost traded in for today and the dealerguys told me it had stg2 u think its bs or no ECU recal or is it the corsa exhaust?my car=06 ss2.4 12500 miles auto, moonroof, pioneer, ashtray their car= 06ss 2.0 9000 miles stg 2w/ recaro and lsd, corsa exhaust, eibaich sportline lowering list price 19699 Heres how it went down:
them: we'll give ur car a 12699 trade in which would be 7k difference

them: ok(goes to front desk comes back) we'll meet u in the middle at 6299 difference

them:aight(goes to front desk again, this time a lil longer comes back w/manager) we'll offer u 5699

Question3 I got pulled over no tag light $252.50 should i just wait till my curt date before i go back to the dealership or just take some pics and show them i replaced the light before i traded it in?

It's been a year and 12540 miles later and i still must have the original SS Cobalt...

I think you should have taken the 5699, it was only 199 over what you wanted. Get your ass back there and see if you can sweet talk them back into it!

 

offered me 14k for my 2.4 it has a pinky sized scuff on the bumper and a different tire but it's a $110 coopertire so u can't tell. Thanks for yalls support im going back tommorrow and ill let ya know wats up, hell i might even take it to the dynojet for a pull only $35 i'll also try to find out the A/F see if theres a line leak somewhere to find the mystery why it's losing 3lbs of boost; if it is stg2...hmmm

i luv all u guys and i luv my car they called me back today and offered me 5500 then i said i got $200 ticket. what did he do? offered me 5300 so i can pay for the ticket asap. i got my ass down there quick and in less then 2 hours i was driving my dream out the parking lot into my driveway
