What do shops usually charge to install them?

depends on the type of sleeves the MID's are more expensive

in actuality, you could get a bare gen 2 block as cheap or cheaper than sleeves and an install, and you'd be alot better off

+500-1000 denpending on shop for labor.

Yeah. To do,it right with the corewct tool. I had mine shipped to darton in my lsj.

 

~$700 for the sleeves and ~$700 for labor/machine work to install.

Why are the mids more?

 

Design I think. quality quality. Quality. .....

 

because of the way they are designed, the top ring seats against the block and they have to machine the block to fit them, more machine work = more $ mine cost $300 for the install, but that's only cause my family spends $10,000+/year at the machine shop so he cuts us a deal on everything
