pulley/injectors question.

I decided I wanted to get a pulley, injectors and a custom tune instead of GM stage 2. I would like to go with 2.8 pulley, do i use a stage 2 belt? And should i go with 42 njectors or 60 injectors?

Whats the best pulley to get?

To those who have something simlair to the set-up I want -- how much of a differnce will I notice?

Is there anything else I need?

you want to go with ngk brk7e gap at .40. with a 2.8 pulley you needs 60s to run a 7000 rev limit the 42s run lien at the top.

sorry its late lol. No our kit comes with a oversized tensioner to make up the belt slack.

as soon as we recieve it the same day or next usually, we have a few cores so turn time is good.

Im not going to say this to cut down people but running a 2.8" pulley on 42lb injectors is not the safest route out there. Your injector duty cycle will be well into the 120's on a gm stage tune and close to 110 on a custom tune. also fyi injectors are only rated to 80% duty cylce so after that the injector is along for the ride and could lead to a potential lean spike or a injector failing.

^^^^very true, 60s are much safer and that is a wise statement. i am on a gm stage tune. Its fat and "safe". the car runs stronger, no doubt. But I am at the extreme safe side for a.f.s...injectors are pretty simple to install. The pulley hub takes some patients, but its not bad either. I have never done a tensioner pulley, but it can't be that hard. I say Simple and not hard with a toolbox of tools, years of wrenching, buddies that like to help out and l have learned from mistakes.

If you are going to get the 2.8 pulley, go with 60's. The 2.8 pulley on 42's will cause the car to go static.

I've got 42's on a 2.9 and am a little worried about it...About to go up to 60's with cooling mods and a tune...

i thought the same

92% @ 6800 rpm with 42s 2.8 and 11.8 AFR under WOT

you have room to play with 42s and the 2.8 just tune it.

Mine are at 96% on the 42s. But I still don't like it running that lean. So when I get the money, gonna step up to the 60s alone with a progressive meth kit and a tune.

I don't trust it because it's already past the injector duty cycle which is 80%....And I do need cooling mods. I'd hate to see my IAT2's.....

But yes, as I said and the other guys.... 2.8 you will need to go with 60's. If you want your car to live.

cooling mods are everything.... dont even think about power before them.

i BEAT THE EVER LIVING **** OUT OF MY ENGINE@ 11.8-12.0 AFR and it has yet to die.

then again im the ninja tuner of roflcopter

H/E is the BEST cooling mod and investment. It should have been put on from the factory. Exhaust is second. Our EGTs are ridiculous.
