Pulley size question
I know it's probably on this site, but I needed the info kind of quick. Couldn't get a definite answer anyways. I'm going to order a pulley and hub from OTT, and was just wondering what the GM stage 2 pulley size is? 3.1 or 3.0?
I apologize for asking a question that probably been answered many times before.

correct the Stage 3 pulley is 76mm, or 2.99", or 2.992126". the gm stage 3 pulley does create a noticeable gain over the stage 2 pulley, even though it's only slightly smaller.

So since stage 2 is 3.06, the 3.0 pulley is what I want.
Unless anyone wants to make it extremely easy for me and throw up the link to that smoothflow one.

It's by Lowell.
Yea thats another thing I don't get. Whats the difference between the stage 2 style hub/pulley with 4 holes, and the modular pulley/hub system with 5 holes?
Sorry for the dumb questions I just dont get that ****.

simple, stage 2 from GM came with a 4 bolt hub and pulley. so if the guys with stage 2 want smaller pulleys they need the 4 hole style pulley. most aftermarket, ZZP, Intense, Smoothflow, have 5 bolt just because its stronger than 4. I used to go to lowell all the time, thats where my police adaemy was held, if you want the pulley i can meet you in marlboro at the salomon pond mall or something

I was just gonna get it installed and tuned by SMGin Mass. and they just use a caned tune for the stage 2. I dont know if by going to a smaller pulley that tune won't be right.
I just get paranoid about this stuff and want to make sure everything is ok.

i had stage 1 and used this 3.0 for stage 2 performance, its an intense 5 hole. i now have a 2.9 on and it works great on stage 2 tune. but i would not go any smaller than 2.9 on stage 2 tune. if i were you id get the smg special, 60s, 2.8, HE, and custom dual pass, and have fred tune it on the dyno. hes amazing with these cars
