its changed alot in the last 6 months.
I ran a 2.8 with S2 for a while. but only on track days.
as soon as i was done i went back to the S2 pully.

right now im 2.8 with 60lbers.

How is that going for you? I was under the impression that you could run 42lbers with a 2.8" but needed a tune better than the GM tune?

no point buying S2 if your going to go with 60lbers.

Stage 2 is brilliant for those wanting some boost and keeping warranty.

if you want more, and dont care much about warranty, its a waste of money

stangs are stock territory, evo's and sti's are stage 2 plus i believe. STage two gives you 15 psi

I would recommend you not to mod your car with an attitude like that....hp=money. Especially reliable HP...hell hp tuners alone costs $500...and thats just for the software to do a tune....so if you don't want to pay to play..don't.

its not the psi that matters really, and thats not the only thing that is going to make you power. Pulley down to my size if you want power but it comes at a price

Agreed its not the pulley your paying for...its the injectors, and the tune...plus the warranty...though if you want the best bang for your buck and have a local tuner near you (wish I did) I would go with the 60 lbers and a 2.7" pulley with a cobra h/e and intercooler plate.

Yes you would...a belt I believe is $40ish or so...not sure...and if you don't want to get an ajustable tensioner I would recommend the 2.8" either way your going to be paying out about $700 for some good power....and honestly if you don't have many miles on your car right now and don't have a cool dealership I would just recommend stage 2 with a 2.9" and some cooling mods....that will bump you up to about 16 psi and about 250-260 hp i believe with header back.

BTW LSJ where did you get your oversized tensioner?

its not the power mods that cost the money like lp said its supporting mods.

I can tell you this i have over 4k into my car and the major powe rmods are as follows

2.5" pulley $50
meth $250
cti lt header & 3" catless dp $400

the rest is supporting catch my flow lol. meth could be to but there is nice power to be made with it

No everything below a stage 2 I would recommend cooling mods and some exhaust mods...need better flow in the exhaust when you increase your hp.
