puttin in a new clutch

ok guys im puttin a clutch in my ss and i am wondering if there are any special tools i might need to do this thanks

since you don't know, you'll probably be better off paying a shop to do it

mayb a clutch alignment tool, and some torx sockets for the pressure plate removal. also look at this

agreed, but if you do wanna do it to learn how on your own, there is an install pdf online with the gmpp clutch upgrade for the lsj, its a complete walkthrough guide, I looked for it but couldnt find the link, probably shoulda looked harder.

what a pain n the ass... u need an engine cradle to support it up top, and a cherry picker to lower the transmission... i'm n the process of doing this as i type. e-10 torx sockets and #30 star socket if ur replacin the tob. a friend that will help u all the way through instead of leaven u every 10 mins and comin back every hour, cigs for ur nerves, and shots of evaclear for when ur finished for 1 day

if you dont learn how will you know? there was a time when all mechanics didnt know how to change a clutch...
