Hey guys, I just installed the GMPP performance exhaust on my 07 today, but because my dealership forget to order the tip and I was so anxious to get the cat-back on, I'm now without a tip till tomorrow. It seems so loud, worse than the ricers around town! I don't really like it, and I'm wondering if the tip will bring it down a few decibles? Thanks

 

A tip won't make it an quieter.

Your best bet is to add another muffler, or a resonator

 

There is no built in silencer in the tip at all? It seems extremely loud to me... and what about the loss in low end power...that normal?

yea u do loose low end power with the exhaust but u should feel a little bit of a difference in top end.. and the tip doesnt have a silencer

 

Your hearing it more because the exhaust is exiting under the car! It is only really loud inside the car I am sure. Get your tip on and I am sure it will sound different once the exhaust is exiting behind the vehicle like it should!
