R u underboosting and you wonder why?

very simple thread

i have a cobalt ss

i had a 2.8 inch pulley
and i have a cobalt addict tune and the boost bypass off cause I thought I didnt need it
and when i dropped to the 2.7 i had problems

i kept loosing boost and i couldnt figure it out

got stg 2 belt still loosing boost

checked entire engine bay for leaks and took supercharger off

no leaks

I then thought to myself lemme try to the boost bypass mod . i tried it and i had full boost again

i took the bleeder/bypass off and looked at the internals and all the platic and everything was cracked and bent and broken

sooo if anyones having boost problems just throw the bypass mod back on

thought id input my 2 cents

Where did the boost go from- down to? Did it keep dropping or finally level off?

it would level off at some point like the computer was fixing it but it wasnt

the boost would actually flutter out of it kinda sounding like a wastegate

ooo and it was from 17 to 10

it wouldnt peak after i blew it out

If you get the car tuned properly then boost management is completely disabled and there's no need for the bypass mod. It is very easy with HPTuners

the boost bypass mod totally ***** with your a/f. Yes. I gained 4 hp and 5 or 6 tq. but it made my a/f look like /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ during the entire pull on the dyno.

I STILL would not reccomend doing the bypass. Just get hptuners. and compensate for it.

hey thats what I do best... leveled out my AFR to around 12.2 so thats all good brought the timing back down to 24 deg... and running a 70%meth/30%water setup so no detonation.... hitting the track sunday and dyno oct 7th.... lets see what she can do...
oh yeah addin a little nitro to the mix for sunday... fingers crossed she don't explode (only using lik 8 oz to 1.5 gallons should be ok) I hope
