I got the GM Stage 1+2 kits installed a little while ago, and I noticed immediately that the rattle I used to hear all the time under certain conditions was gone.

Here is what used to happen:
In the 3,500+ RPM range while giving the car gas, there would be a consistent rattle. It sounded almost like an exhaust rattle.

Now, after the kits, the rattle is gone. So, what could it have been? Was it supercharger related?

I'm so happy its finally gone, but now I'm curious why...

 

not sure but my buddy had a related problem with that and he had to get a new dp for it to get rid of it so im not quite sure on your part...

 

I'm just wondering if there was something going on with my supercharger that took care of itself when the stage 2 kit got put in.

 

I now have the opposite problem, put on the ottp stage 2 kit. I hear a rattle droning noise and a pinging sound. It sounds like right behind the dash and sometimes below my feet... Kits been on for like less than 1000 miles...

 

see if it is in the dp...idk just a suggestion

 

Well today stopped at the dealership. I was told that the cat was blown
out. So I produced my letter that I got in January.. They are going to replace
it..

off topic G11 do you like your clutch and how much did you pay for it..

 

it was on it when i bought it haha....and i like it alot!!! the friction point is less than an inch off the ground, which i like!

I bought it off a service manager, it was for his daughter. She didn't like the color and of course she didn't know how to drive a 5speed..

 

oh that sucks! ya get an aftermarket one for sure!
