Rebel TwinScrew testing new VIDS

Well, we finially think we solved all the issues.
We will continue to run the car for 4 weeks to make sure everything is 100% before any get shipped out.

The price for the kit is $3445US, but we might do another group buy if we see the interest.

Ok? So the engine runs smoothly. No dyno runs or street runs?

we will have dyno runs and street pulls very soon, just want to make sure everything is working proper before we do.

Currenty the car has:

Rebel 3" header back exhaust
Bully Stage 4 clutch
Rebel 3" intake

i think he is refering more to the fact that they put out a price with no "proof" or a reason for buying it...trust me he wasnt being a dick

ok. i like you, so if he's your friend we'll leave it at that(and i believe you).. i'm gonna outline the reasons anyway. but rebels thread dosent need to be crowded with posts from you and i, unless we're having a civil conversation.
so i begin:

the reason for buying it is fairly simple. 2.6 numbers (or better) without the tremendous heat the eaton makes... thus contributing to reliability.. and also staying with a supercharger and getting all the mid range power we all fell in love with.
this kit is for those who are stock, or close to it, and thirst for more power.. but are scared of losing the #4 ringland.

all previous tests were done on a completely STOCK car, and i believe they were making 280+hp, these new tests should yeild higher numbers due to more airflow, and the restrictions of the crappy stock exhaust being removed

If this doesn't make 300hp to the wheels it's going to be an extreme failure. I shall wait and see.

Does 3445 include the price of a tune or will that be the owner's responsibility?

i doubt its gonna be a tune also..or its going to be for those stock or with just and exhaust..this is why i asked what comes in the "kit" is it 60#ers also...WHAT? the reason i doubt on the tune is because some of us have meth...i doubt there gonna waste there time on making every tune possible..it may be more of a base map for us to have to tweek

So add 300+ for a dyno tune and you get 3745.. Eh.....

Now before i get flamed. I'm not trying to trash the product because a TS is what we should have had from the factory but the numbers just don't add up for the price it's advertised at.

i think you're screen name should be changed to "captain negativity" it would serve you well. then everyone would know who they're dealing with.
no offense intended, but come on man... what are you trying to do, take the food off his table?

i definitly agree it should have come this way, and cobalts (and of course the rare cusin-redlines) would actually be respected.

i think going from 205 to 300+whp is well worth 3k...im dropping almost 5 into my engine build for 350-375 safely (by safely i mean not gonna blow again)...so in the future when i decide to get a TS i think 95 whp is well worth a couple grand..but we all know with my mods it will be more than 95

Chevy,

I'm not trying to be negative or trash the product. I'm just stating my opinion for others to read and take into consideration. Like i stated before i LOVE the idea of the whipple but it just didn't show the gains to warrant the price. IF and i do mean IF this kit can make 320-330whp on a dynojet then i will say the kit is worth the price. If it doesn't it shouldn't even be considered.

I bet you're thinking i'm going to say go turbo.. Well i'm not. For the biggest bang for your buck i think 60's with a 2.8" and a N20 kit.

Most LSJ's put down 215-220whp bone stock. Has the whipple kit even dyno'd at 300whp yet?

its a lysholm 1200ax fyi, not a whipple. but no, it hasnt, on an otherwise stock balt it put down around 280 i think (but had serious tuning issues), with all things corrected, only time will tell what it does.
