Recaros worth the extra money?
For you who have sat your asses in them for a while...are they worth it? They comfy? I heard no...I know they keep you from moving side to side( i sat in one for 15 minutes...) but long drives?
How much are the seats? Since they offer them seperate now...I would think getting a nice Corbeau seat would be great...if they make a bracket for it...
Thanks!

I LOVE mine..I couldn't see owning a Cobalt without em. Driven in her for 5 hours straight and can't say that I had any issues. Stop and go traffic coming back from NY in rush hour traffic on the Jersey TP so...

I have had my car for a year and a half, and I love the recaros. I have made several 4-5 hour road trips and am always comfortable. I like the fact that the seats actually hold you, instead of letting you slide like the regular ones. I'm 6 foot, ~215 and they are just the right size for me. If you are a lot heavier, I wouldn't reccommend them, just from talking to friends they say sometimes they are uncomfortable with the seats. Most average people will like them more if you like a nicely bolstered seat.

I love my Recaros! I don't like the mesh crap. I'm replacing it with suede though so that won't be an issue anymore! They do keep you from sliding around. $1500 for Recaros and a LSD, the seats are frosting on the cake, cause the LSD costs $1500 alone. I get a lot of comments on them too.
"Are those Recaros stock?"
"Yes they are."
"NICE!"

I've had the Recaros is my cobalt and in my Redline before that. They are pretty comfy. I've done some long distance trips in them. They do fine. No beter or worse than a normal seat i guess. I've even slept in them. Haha. As far as everyday driving though. They rock.

Sounds good, yea I sat in one for 15 minutes, they fit me perfect, im 6'1 and 200lbs...but I will admit the best seats I ever sat in where pkg2 gti...those things are beautiful...and seiously...they hug you more....That is a good idea to get the mesh...you just gettin it wrapped over? or replacing and rewrapping? You letting someone professional do it? Or can you?

Id say they are the perfect seat for the car. They hold you in well but are not so resricting that they are uncomfy. 16,000 miles in about 9 months and I love em!

I swear to god man you are like me. I have had mine for about 10 months with a little over 16000 miles. My Recaro's are awesome. I went for the added comfort and put the armrest in there too. They are nice and when you do decide to get crazy on a country road, they will hold you in place and not make you feel like you are about to fall out of the seat.
