Removing boost control by PCM at WOT only with no CEL?
I have already used the search function and it seems there are many conflicting opinions on what is the best way to do this without causing any problems, issues, or damage other than allowing the car to make whatever boost it is able to at WOT.
Can someone who has actually done this without having issues with anything let me know how they did it speccifically? I don't want the boost control gone below ~ 90% throttle position gone - that is ok with me. Also, did you gain boost at WOT from this mod and if so was that verified by an actual boost guage as the stock guage appears to be inaccuarate according to many on this board.
I have the Spectre filter on the car with the bottom off the airbox as the only mod so far. No CEL yet with about 2,500 miles on after doing the mod at 500 miles. The car is an 06' SS.
Car is showing about 11psi on the guage in the car at WOT.

I have had this hooked up for I dunno 6 months and I have NEVER had a Boost related CEL, only CEL I get is the P0171 for my intake. I get 14-15 PSI on a regular basis with a 3 inch pulley. The MOD alone won't get you any more boost, you need to use it in conjunction with a smaller pulley.
I got the single pull double through rocker switch that Radio shack has in stock. There are 3 poles on the switch and you only use 2. There is a common (middle) and you need to use the second pole that is closed when the switch is closed, the other pole is open when the switch is closed (hence single through double pull), if you can find a stsp switch you can us that too.

What about the times I am seeing like 7-10psi at WOT at less than 5,000rpm? Will this mod allow full boost under all WOT conditions? The only time the car sees 12.5psi on the guage is at sustained WOT from 5-6.5k rpm's.
I assume this is normal and caused as a result of the computer control of the boost?
