I know, but this is for their kit not yours.... We all know you have one out already, and if you were local I'd go with you, but I sponsor my local shops, and they just happen to be the best around..

RIPP is an awsome company. Phil, Perry, and Ross are amazing with all cars. They make alot of high horse power cars. What ever RIPP come out will be an awsome product that will make lots of power. I can't wait to see what kind of #'s that kit will put out.

I can't wait to see what he does to the new project rx-7.

Well I'm not into waiting forever on new products, but you will NEVER make more than 300whp on a stock lsj motor. Not possible look at how many have blown their **** just to make it to 300, just not worth making a 300whp+ fwd car it is just retarded. I am quite happy at 265hp and still get warranty work done. If you want 400+hp buy a v8 or awd car so that you can actually use the power. Ohh lets not forget your tranny axles, clutch, flywheel, and then maybe you can handle 350whp. Lets see I know that the turbo kit will cost at least 3,000 + Install (700?) + Tuning ( 250 box tunes for 350+hp? Hahaha won't work for everyone especially when you change sea level Example NY to FL) + axles (800+install 300), clutch and flywheel (1000+install 500), Pistons (450). Lets see now here about 6500 would do it and all that to make 350hp on a fwd car? Sorry just my opinion but not interested at all.

HMM... I made 296 whp on pump gas and ran that combo for a **** load of mile (14000) and no probs so far, did a leak down test on friday, all good...
I'm glad you're not interested... you'r not the type we're going for...
and I do have a 300+ hp V8 and I just sold my 912 whp monte carlo that ran 9's figured its time to try something different.. so when someone like you gets there ass handed to them in their V8 by a little worthless 4 banger... I can sleep well at night.

but your issues are valid ones.. and this is not for everyone..

incase you didn't notice from my sig I do own a 4banger, just I have enough experience with the 500hp+ fwd cars around me and none of them have traction till over 100mph which is illegal speed limit no mater what part of the country your from. I will correct myself and say buy only rwd or awd for extreme horsepower unless you are content with wheelspin. but to those with endless money tress around them go for it spin you fwd cobalt all through the gears have fun.
Owning a 9 second import is like coming out of the closet. At first you surprise everyone, but in the end you're still gay! I think you tried to say owning a 9 second fwd car is like coming out of the closet b/c last I checked a nine second import is faster than your american car.

I should be hitting that mark by the end of this week and heading into "uncharted territory". I know its risky with stock internals and everything, but its not impossible and can be done without blowing your motor. I do agree though that going turbo will be costly, I would love to do it and especially join in and get RIPP's kit, but I rather stay with the SC. Just my .02 cents.

im sure there will be some kind of a market for it but they wont be selling these kits like apr sells turbo kits for audi and volkswagons or even as many as psi fi sells for srt4's and what not. the turbo market for a factory supercharged car that is fairly low production is not going to be all that high. especially since most people get the gains they are looking for with $800 bux or less on the stock blower not huge gains but all that most people are looking for. there just is'nt that many people looking to make huge horsepower with these cars.

this is not to say i dont love the idea and i would like to see how it turns out but if i were them i would not expect to sell more than 15 kits within the next year or so. not to say it wont happen but i would not set my hope to high just yet.

haha phil (darksun) coming in on the srt attack... but yeah he sold it to some old collector guy for a nice price and picked up the RX for a new toy RWD FTW.
and to glockade.. your comments do not belong in this thread, In case you can't read properly I did state I do agree with your post in certain aspects and if that's what YOU want thats fine.. and for the note.. I never lost to an import in any or my other cars, nor do I like FWD, but I want to try something new, and so do a lot of people on this site.
and to the comment about t/c's stay with your power robbing s/c and when you get blown away by a cobalt on low boost with a t/c ... I don't need to hear about it ... lol

and damn alex those some nice numbers... thats my aim for the springtime.. unfortunatly I"ll have to take it easy on the launch to keep my tranny alive.. but I think its possible.

tis the truth, but I don't think they are looking to produce more than that a yr anyway.. unless the demand comes up.. which it will once people start seeing a turbo cobalt rolling around.
