RIPP Mods Turbo kit interest thread
no prob... looks like this is going to be a go. Im just waiting t=for them to clear out the shop in the next week or two, then the fun can begin. Found out my head is going out to the guy that CNC's gm's race heads for the gm race team. so this is starting to get interesting.

Car is going in the shop in about 2 weeks... they were finishing up 2 skyline gtr spec-v's first..
CNC'd head, custom cams (same guy that did whitfields setup). Still waiting to hear back from turbonetics.
all motor parts are in just about... just waiting on the main studs, head studs, and gaskets.. then it's going together... but kit will be tested to destruction on the stock motor just to see exactly what it can take.

ok i havent gotten to page four yet, but Glockglade, the reason why you guys blow motors the way you do is because your supercharges produce a shitload more heat at higher boost levels then turbo would. I've seen Paul's datalogs and heard the stories, when your IAT's are above 200 freakin degrees F, of course your motor is going to pop. do i believe that much more then 300 can be gotten on your stock internals? No, but no one will have a definite answer until someone tries it.
This thread is for those of you interested in a reputable shop to make your car go faster. Because it seems so far the LSJ community is sitting on the bench while honda's, dodge's and volkswagon's kick your asses up and down the 1/4. Yes your car comes with a factory supercharger, that does not mean that it is the best means of induction, it means that chevy threw together a car at the last minute to try and compete in the sport compact segment.

thats why I'm goin through with my build... all I see is aims for 300whp... well that just ain't gonna do it for me.. Ill be sacraficing my stock motor to you guys and the god's of horse power just to see what these little things can do...

Ask Selfinfliction he's blown his stock one on i think three differnt power adders already. I dont think stock pistons will like too much more more than 350whp even with less heat from a turbo
