how in the world are you going to get that motor to interface with the Cobalt? they are completely different. The only thing they share is the cubic displacement....

Minus the fact that the transmission and zero of the sensors are the same...

Will it work? Yes. With plenty of modifications. Just like any other engine.

It's the same base engine and internals, so it's a simple swap. But you have to bolt-over most of the sensors from your broken LSJ engine.
Main difference are the head studs, as the Saab inlet has M6. LSJ has bigger M8's for the SC weight. And Saab cams are milder turbo items so swap the LSJ's over if you want SC power.
Flywheel is probably different too, so more swapping. And the crank pulley. => 5rib vs. 6 rib for SC.
There's a small ridge on the head you need to saw off for the LSJ's belt tensioner mounting.

So not so completely different

Easy stuff. Im the friend that is helping Bratboy90 in the other thread.

Just need a tap set for intake manifold holes and some oil (we just used gear lube lol) All other holes line up.

Our engine only had the balancer left on it so thats all that needs to be pulled off.

We swapped out thermostat housing also and found out saab motor has plastic wheel for water pump instead of metal fins.
