Safe Boost?

I wanna boost my PSI a lil' more @ the track and I wanna know what you guys have pushed it to safely on stock internals. I have an 06. Also what is a good electronic boost controller for these.

sorry bor, but this isnt a turbo setup... if you want to upgrade the boost, change your pulley

So taking this to stage 2 would be basically just increasing my PSI?

GM stage 2 keeps the factory warrenty brings your car up to 241whp pushing 15 lbs of boost with 42lb injectors smaller belt and 3' pully

oh yeah ECU flash brings redline to 7000

^ Thats the way to go. With all GM parts - manifold I'm running mid 13s. After GMP manifold and some good drag radials I'm hoping to be in the high 12s. Good luck man, its good to keep your warinty!

P.S. Not sure why but I'm boosting over 15 psi with Stage II and GMP bolt ons....

Actually, I didnt steal it, you can see many other graphics I have made at my myspace www.myspace.com/kyleusaf. I have been doing photoshop for almost 5 years. And I just asked a question, sorry I'm not as smart w/ internals as you are but you dont have to be a dick.

Prolly gonna go stage 2 w/ a new exhaust, headers and CAI. Just do 1 or 2 mods at a time. Being in the Military and trying to support a family doesnt bode well financially.

It doesnt keep factory warranty does it? also, how much HP does it produce and what does it take the boost to.

Umm... how high are you boosting on Stage 2? With my mods I'm seeing right at 15PSI... maybe a half a pound over if its cold out. If you're boosting too much over that it could be a sign of bad things to come.

only way to keep warranty is to go with all GM stuff, and thats excluding their stage 3

imo GM stage 3 is not going to be worth it unless you start running nitrous.

To answer your question, it's not really about safe boost, but how small of a pulley setup you run. you can go to a 2.5" pulley somewhat safely with 60lb injectors. for a GM Stage II kit, you can drop to a 2.9" pulley safely.

I've heard debates on that though, I am going to take it down to the stage three pulley first.

BTW: Stage 2 pulley = 3.1"(79mm) Stage 3 = 3.0"(76mm)

with stage 2 you might want more.. so then all you have left is some GMPP bolt ons.. like header d/p, i dont even know if there is an intake, catback, maybe an underdrive pulley?
but thats not a whole lot of power there. thats really just support for stage 2
