sc question
rukkee, thanks! looks like everything is just hand tight @ 18 ft/lbs.
G85 SS - everything is pulled apart and dried, we're waiting for the new gaskets to be delivered, once they are we can bolt everything back up and finally let the car push the rest of the coolant residue out.

Your welcome . 18 lb/ft doesn't seem like much for all that but who knows lol GM hehe. Out of curiosity? ....are you going to take the opportunity to get rid of the dexcool all together and go with regular antifreeze ? I've talked to a few tech's who do this as soon as they get their car's home........they just don't like dexcool much at all . Just wondering which route you decided to go.
The only personal experience i have with it was with my wifes 05 equinox . It seems that the coolant lines and dexcool didn't play nice and they started disintegrating from the inside out.
When you opened the reservoir....insode it was a black sludge like material . They replaced all the lines and flushed it under warranty ....It was a lease so i didn't care much. It's hard to say if the lines were the issue or the dexcool.

Once I refilled the reservoir after assembling everything back together it looks like the only coolant that got into the intake manifold was what was in the reservoir so not much at all, thankfully.
I got everything back together the other week and fired it up and it turns over easily now, removing the belt was such a pita I ended up cracking a little of the outer lip of the tensioner pulley off, I f'd the belt up a little bit using the pulley as leverage with a big screwdriver and had a nasty belt squeak, the 15mm wrench was just slipping right off so I improvised...it worked but it had consequences heh. I just replaced the belt and changed the oil today as a percaution, I ended up hammering on a 9/16" wrench to the tensioner instead and that worked much better.
Anyway the car seems to be running well, there are no issues as far as I can tell and I drove it around a bit so thanks again for everyone's help.
