finding 5th with aftermarket shifters has nothing to do with the shifter.
and everything to do with the install.

if you adjust your cables properly any short shifter will feel exactly like all stock shifts.
just shorter and firmer

I use the reverse lockout to find 5th...the way the cables are adjusted, the RLO (down) stops the shifter from going past the 5th gear slot...so its just over, bang, up. Now i've finally gotten used to the placement of Number 5, so its not so hard to just swing it over now. B&M def. takes some getting used to, but it def. makes a difference...'specially on the 1-2 shift...

I agree, my install took about 45 minutes of clip, shift, ****... change, clip, shift, dammit.... clip, shift, sweet!
