Smog with Stage 3 in CA

Has anyone successfully passed their emissions test with stage 3 in CA?

I would like some feedback on this before I make that purchase.

GMS3 will pass an emissions test.

GMS3 is not emissions certified, but it will pass the test (tailpipe sniffer, gas cap check, visual, etc.).

Is there anyone that can actually say that they have passed the emissions test with it? That is what I am after. We can all make educated guesses on weather or not it will pass.

I have GMS3. Had it for 2 years now.

It has passed emissions every year. I wasnt making an educated guess.

It will pass in CA.

My buddy out in CA has GMS3 and it passes emissions every year.

Like I have already said it will pass tail pipe sniffers, visual inspections, gas cap checks etc.

All of the emission components are in check with the GMS3 PCM.

You need components from GMS2 to run GMS3, and with GMS2 you get an emissions sticker stating the kit is emissions certified. GMS3 parts look identical to GMS2 parts. An emissions inspector would never know the difference. The only way you would not pass in CA is if they were to pull the part numbers on the PCM. To do that, they would have to physically remove your PCM. I know CA has strict emission laws, but I can bet you they would never remove a cars PCM to check for a part number. Nor would they know the PCM was different from stock or GMS2.

Sorry if I came off a bit rude. It's just the fact that the smog laws here in CA SUCK! They have raised the emissions standards this year. That is why I wanted to know if any here in CA has passed emissions this year with GMS3. I should have been a little more clear... sorry.

How far up do the stick the snifer? What would happen if you just had a 2" exit into a 3" pipe after the resinator and muffler that way it would draw in fresh air with it
