Oh then forget it. 17 is definitely out of the question for a rental. Have your parents rent a car and then drive one of theirs. They'd get seriously screwed if you got into any kind of trouble driving their rental.

Who leaves a big ass rock in the middle of the road anyways?

Probably bounced off a truck of some landscaping company.

Damn you had a cylinder just hanging. That might take some more time then.

It wasnt from like... inside the engine. It was just a cylinder in shape. I have no idea what it did or does.

Oh ok, then you probably just knocked something loose. Yeah, I would say two weeks probably. Once the dealer/insurance appraise it, they will give you a time frame.

I had the same damage to my cobalt. Took 6 weeks to get her all finished.

EDIT: This was my damage (main parts)

Two fenders, bumper, foglights, headlights, heat exchanger, air conditioner, radiator, front passenger frame piece with everything repainted.

8000$ damage (First claim insurance is no cost!) Belair Direct is the ****.

Wow 6 weeks. If I wasn't on the crappy computer I would show pictures of what I did to mine. When the cops came they thought I totaled the car, meanwhile it only took 2 weeks to get fixed.

Actually they got most of the work done in the two first weeks but then they had to wait for the heat exchanger, that took a couple more plus paint and crap. I didnt really care thought, meanwhile I was beating the **** out of an unmarked Grand prix rental car.

It will probably take atleast 3 weeks. You have to wait for the adjuster then you have to wait for the parts to come. Then its all downhill from there. Make sure they put oem parts and not some cheap ****.

Was the rock in the road?

Call the transportation dept, if it was in the road it could be their fault

Yea it was in the exact middle of the lane.

And it wasn't classified as my fault, at least I don't think so anyways.

I hit a racoon and I had to get my heat exchanger ac condensor, radiator, ground effect lip, and the plastic (flap) air dam thing replaced...that hit me for 2100 dollars and took them 17 days to fix.
